A Course in Miracles:  Lesson 349

Words are a poor replacement for Knowing.  Thinking and speaking communicate only partial truth.  Knowing is felt as direct experience.

“Today I let Christ’s vision look upon

All things for me and judge them not, but

Each one a miracle of love instead.”

How is this lesson to be experienced?  It’s not so hard:  give yourself the experience of giving everything the freedom to be itself without judging it.  “Thus do I obey the law of love, and give what I would have to make my own.”

I give freedom to have my own. I give light to know it.  I am free to skip down the street if that is what’s called for.  I am free to decide nothing that happens can harm me today.  I am free to ignore my neighbor’s angry mood or the fact that all hell seems to be breaking out in the world.  It’s not that I don’t care, but I am seeing it all through eyes that know none of it makes any difference because it’s not true.  Does that sound naïve or unrealistic?

Christ’s vision is not some magical thing that is unavailable except in my imagination.  I cannot fake it or make it happen.  Seeing is a decision based on knowing what I am: not a body, not guilty, not of this world, but free and fully connected with you.   What are you?  What more important question is there?

I love the fact that you are me.  I love that your experience is also mine.  How intelligent I become when I join your mind with mine!  When I am free to follow my inner knowing without regard for consequences, I taste the freedom that is my birthright.  Words cannot describe it and nothing in this world can touch it.  I simply know that I am safe and free together with you.

Christ’s vision looks upon a world playing with form and sees the light within each mind.  Everything is light, swirling, merging, and sparkling together in one big dance.  No light ever goes out; it simply changes color or shape.  Every imagined trial and circumstance has been designed to light us up.  We are all together, moving higher and higher on this journey we have created for ourselves.  We are all light emerging.  Do you see it?  It is a miracle of love.
