A Course in Miracles:  Lesson 215

“I am one with my Creator and I am journeying to my place of unification with that consciousness.  As I identify with that aspect of the self that is the Creator, I rise in frequency and the journey commences quickly.” –Paul Selig, I Am the Word.

In a word, the Kingdom of God is freedom.  The Kingdom of God is freedom in a sense so free, so unbound, and so unencumbered that those of you walking this earth cannot fully comprehend it.” – Bren Haskell, Journey Beyond Words

The ideas for today deal with our journey toward freedom.  Freedom comes with the end of valuing the valueless.  And nothing in this world has value.  We are free to create and we are free to imagine.  Indeed, our freedom is almost unlimited.  But when we begin to value our creations, to think we need them for our happiness, we erode our freedom bit by bit.  God created us like Himself and God has no restrictions.  If we were created fettered and bound, then Source Itself must know of being fettered and bound – and this is NOT so.

“Love is the way I walk in gratitude.”  Love is freedom and gratitude is the recognition of it.  Try for a moment to imagine what unlimited freedom is.  In any instant of time you could experience exactly what you imagine, with no restrictions at all. If you had this “magical” ability – then what would be the use of valuing anything?  When everything is yours already, why value one thing over another?  Valuing is the produce of fear – fear of losing the thing that is valued.  And loss is a thing of this world – a world of form and time, a world where things are born and die away, a world where absolutely nothing lasts.  A world in which freedom from want, and pain, and loss seems only to be a dream.

Today is a day for imagining.  Imagining is not something powerless children do.  It is a tool of creation.  This entire world and everything we experience was first imagined in the mind before it became form.  So imagine today, or better still, feel the memory of freedom, which belongs to you and me.  Live with it and walk in it.  Let go of valuing anything at all.  Let go of desire for specific outcome or form of outcome.  Sit back and let all things come to you and see how it feels to be free.

On the hour today, say quietly in your mind, “I am not a body.  I am free.  For I am still as God created me.”  On the half-hour, be still a moment and feel the meaning of, “Love is the way I walk in gratitude.”  Love is freedom because Love knows all things belong to It and always will.  Beyond this world there is no need for gratitude because freedom has never gone unrecognized.  Today we recognize our natural state and feel gratitude for remembering.

Give yourself 15 minutes in the morning and evening to imagine.  Let your thoughts go.  Let the body go.  Let go of all desires or demands for specific outcomes or forms of this world.  Let go of any values those forms represent to you.  Allow the whole universe, in all its Oneness to fill your being and know yourself free to imagine anything whatsoever you wish to experience.  This is your rise in frequency as you journey toward freedom.  Can you feel it?  If you will allow yourself to feel this freedom, it will activate a memory, and within the memory is a sense of deep pleasure.  This pleasure represents a rise in frequency that is a match for Love.  Love is a vibration we will all take on as we awaken.

There is no guilt in freedom, only gratitude.  Give yourself the gift of it today.  Look around at your world and all those who seem to inhabit it.  Give to them the same freedom you seek.  In so doing, you bless your self twice.
