A Course in Miracles: Lesson 213
“All things are lessons God would have me learn.” All things. Not some things. This single lesson learned well is a complete release from the past.
We are a prisoner of our own creation. This world is ours, not God’s. But God is found here still, because God is everywhere. And we are not really prisoners, we just perceive ourselves to be. We are magnificent creators! But we ARE lost in our creation, and so we are sent constant reminders by Source to help us remember the path back to Reality.
The power to decide to see is our one remaining decision as “prisoners” of this world. We can decide to see the truth, which is that we manifest absolutely every single experience, and then perceive it to be outside ourselves. We put it where it is by wanting it. When we think we are encountering something or someone we do not want, it is still because we DO want it. We are like children until we understand this. When we want only love, we will see nothing else.
We have created a holographic universe. That is how powerful we are. But we are still only aspects of One Mind because that is our Source. All knowing lies within us because we are a whole part of the Whole. Being Whole, aspects of Reality can be seen in everything and everywhere. As self-imposed “prisoners”, we see each aspect as a separate entity. But Mind of God sees them as One. The lesson God would have me learn is that I am all things - nothing happens outside myself – even the dream of my own death.
“You travel in dreams while safe at home. You will first dream of peace, and then awaken to it.”
A lesson is a miracle offered by Source to help us awaken from our dream. The recognition that we are responsible creators is a lesson learned, and it is a miracle that sets us free from the dream. The power to decide to learn is wholly ours.
On the hour, take a quiet moment and say in your mind, “I am not a body. I am free. For I am still as God created me.” On the half-hour give yourself the gift of remembering, “All things are lessons God would have me learn.” Be mindful today of the lessons you are being offered. They are your own creation which, when combined with the Love of God, offer a miracle.
Give yourself the gift of 15 minutes to sit in silent contemplation of today’s idea. A lesson is a miracle that replaces thoughts of guilt, sacrifice, victimization, and powerlessness. You are never powerless, that is the ego’s dream, not yours, not mine, and not God’s.
What is your lesson today, dear reader?
